We were lying in the front hammock together, naked and cozy on a feather tick I’d found in the hall closet. Gareth, ex-sailor that he was, had no trouble crawling into the thing but I’d nearly sent us to the porch twice, much to Gareth’s amusement. Making love there had definitely been…living dangerously as we were never certain the whole thing wouldn’t tip and spill us onto the boards beneath.

“Is that safe?” Cursed asked and I cracked open an eye to stare up at him from the middle of Gareth’s chest.

“I laugh in the face of danger,” I informed him with a touch of sarcasm while Gareth chuckled and ran his palm over my bare behind. Amras was down by the gate whispering in my horse’s ear.

“No seducing my horse Amras,” I warned and he turned his violet eyes to me with a guiltily look. “Yes I see you over there, and you can just step away from my mare before I have to hurt you.”

He smiled and ran his hand down her nose then moved through the gate and ambled up to the porch. “I like it here, almost as much as my room.” He informed me.

“This is my getaway from testosterone zone,” I informed him and yawned.

“I’m not sure what that is…but I suspect you mean men? And I can see how well it is working for you.” Amras replied with a chuckle, and then he moved across the porch and into the cottage. He was gone for several minutes and when he came back he tossed Cursed a peach. “Off a tree out in back. This must be where she got them for the pie last night.”

“What pie?” Gareth asked and lifted his head to glance at Cursed and Amras with a gleam in his eye. “What are they eating?”

“Peaches.”

“You made a peach pie?” He demanded his voice sounding quite indignant.

“She made three actually. Then dumped them all in the sink because Roa’ declared and then informed her she was…how did he put it? Not without skill and therefore a danger to herself and others.” Cursed offered, chuckling wickedly while I glared at him. He delicately licked the dripping juice from off his fingers and gave me a mischievous grin. “Then My Lady threw her dagger at him from the other end of the table. She buried it in the chair he was seated in, less than an inch from his ear. The man never even flinched. I must say, it was a very nice throw.”

“Yes, I was most impressed. And that was after he told us all he wasn’t worried about her making his manhood smaller because he didn’t plan to rape her, and unlike Talon…he enjoyed having his hair pulled and his man parts squeezed.” Amras added.

“You forgot to mention the part about her…enjoying large men.” Cursed corrected him while Amras nodded.

“Yes, he mentioned something about that too. One of the other reasons he wasn’t worried. Apparently, he believes his size will protect him from harm.
